Behind the substantial fence and gates lies a private and picturesque landscape, filled with the colours, flavours and fragrance of substantial cottage and kitchen gardens, fruit trees, rolling lawns and water features. A grand staircase leads to the lower gardens, retained with both gabion and sandstone walls. A beautiful granite surrounded swimming pool and lawn cool the second level, leading to the upper level via another set of sandstone stairs, which in turn lead to the verdant, highly productive kitchen garden. Beyond lies the towering heritage listed fig, complete with vintage chandeliers glittering from its uppermost branches, as it arches over the Victorian fountain and pond complete with goldfish and water lilies. Gazing out at Bucolic scenes of grazing livestock at the bottom of the garden, and the sound of tennis ball hitting racquet, leave you dreaming of lazy, endless summer holidays. Birdsong and the hum of bees the accompanying chorus to the peace and tranquillity. Lynne Grove House and grounds are situated in a quiet, safe, and understated cul-de-sac, many of the neighbours residing here since the original subdivision of the Lynne Grove House grounds in the 1970’s. Families have been raised and flown the nest, and now the voices and laughter of Grandchildren are heard in the street. A beautiful community, where neighbours often stop for a chat, share produce and news, collect each other’s mail and even on occasion, have been called upon to change a tyre or fix a gate. The house itself is full of warmth and character, and though grand in size and structure, it is without pretension, comfortable in its own space, exuding a sense of comfort and hospitality. Lynne Grove house invites you in to sit a while, muse, slow down and smell the roses – (of which the garden boasts over 50 varieties.). A gin and tonic on the veranda, a snooze in the library, writing a novel in the atmospheric and romantic attic or creating a meal with produce from the garden in the beautiful kitchen; this home has been truly a joy to live in, to renovate, and to share over the years. Every person who has lived in Lynne Grove House, including the current custodians say that Lynne Grove never leaves you, you always carry a piece of it in your heart ………..
